With a winning combination of state-of-the-art batteries, electric motors, and gas engines, the all-new Ford Fusion Hybrid and Fusion Energi are designed to be efficient. A new grille gives the Fusion a bold, distinctive look, and standard, low-profile laser-cut projector headlamps and LED tail lamps display intelligent technology. Available active grille shutters are designed to reduce air resistance. When closed, they reduce aerodynamic drag, enhancing efficiency.

Thanks to the McPherson independent front suspension and intelligent multi-link independent rear suspension, the ride in the Ford Fusion is refined and comfortable. It also comes with AdvanceTrac® and traction control with torque vectoring control, which enhances front wheel grip and steering when cornering. Fusion delivers plenty of technologies, like the available Lane-Keeping System, which alerts the driver if it detects unintentional lane departure, and - if needed - actively applies steering torque to help the driver direct the vehicle back into the lane. Drift control detects road conditions, like a crowned road surface or crosswinds, and adjusts the electronic power-assisted steering to compensate.

Both the Ford Fusion Hybrid and Fusion Energi have a new, 2.0L Hybrid I-4 powertrain that is combined with the electric motor to generate a projected 188 total horsepower. Both are powered by a state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery, and utilize an electronically-controlled, continuously-variable transmission for seamless shifting performance. The main difference between the Fusion Hybrid and the Fusion Energi is the plug-in capability. The Fusion Energi has an external charge port and battery, which provides an electric-only driving experience.

Fusion Hybrid gives you the best-in-class fuel economy, an EPA-estimated 47mpg in the city and on the highway. The Fusion Energi is projected to deliver more than 100mpge, which is a miles-per-gallon equivalency metric for electrified vehicles. It utilizes a high-voltage lithium-ion battery pack to provide enough power to operate in all-electric mode for short commutes. Thanks to plug-in capability, you can charge the battery in approximately 2.5 hours using the available 240V charging station or 7 hours using a 120V outlet. Fusion Energi can travel in electric energy mode up to 85mph. The gas engine kicks in seamlessly at higher speeds, or when more power is needed.

The Fusion Hybrid and Fusion Energi also offer the next-gen SmartGuage® instrument cluster with EcoGuide. It uses LCD screens on either side of the speedometer, allowing you to track the hybrid drive, electric drive, and gas engine. Plus, you can see current and average fuel economy readings. With the help of Auto Start-Stop technology, the engine automatically shuts off when the vehicle comes to a stop in city traffic, then seamlessly restarts the second your foot leaves the brake pedal.

Available heated, leather-trimmed seats add a touch of class to both the look and feel of the vehicle. Available 10-way power driver's seat with 3 memory settings and power lumbar, and 2-way power passenger seats with power recline allow for custom comfort and support. Our Ford Fusion models cannot control the weather outside, but they can help to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience within.

Voice-activated SYNC® with available MyFord Touch® allows you to control your phone, entertainment, climate, and available navigation system functions with simple voice commands. You can even have incoming text messages read aloud to you. SYNC® also includes 911 Assist. The advanced navigation system with Sirius XM Traffic and Sirius XM Travel Link® services has 5-way, steering wheel-mounted controls, which allow you to manually manage that information on twin 4.2-inch LCD cluster screens without taking your hands off the wheel. You can even create a wi-fi hotspot, affording your passengers internet connectivity. All Fusion models come standard with a CD-MP3 stereo that includes an auxiliary audio jack. Customers can also get the available 390-watt audio system from Sony®, with HD Radio™ technology.

Fusion is built with state-of-the-art safety technology. All Fusion models come standard with an SOS Post-Crash Alert System™ and 8 airbags (including driver and front passenger knee airbags). Also, the new body utilizes more high-strength steel for occupant protection. For Active Park Assist, simply push the button. It uses ultrasonic sensors to scan for a parking spot, and, with a little driver input, you're parallel parked. The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) with Cross-Traffic Alert is designed to use radar to alert you if a vehicle is detected in your blind spot, with an indicator light in the corresponding side view mirror. Available Adaptive Cruise Control is designed to adapt its speed to maintain a chosen distance from the traffic in front of you. Forward collision warning simulates brake lights with a heads-up display that flashes on the windshield when it senses a potential collision with the vehicle in front of you. It then pre-charges the brakes for full responsiveness.
